Gone Missing is the story of a mysterious Billionaire, Bel Dior, who lives alone on an island called Los Angeles in the 1970's with her nine best girlfriends.
Dick Rambler wrote the book, but the narrator is Las Vegas. Vegas is Dior's neighbor, and she chronicles the story of Dior and her circle of friends, beginning with her introduction to the strange woman and ending with Dior's tragic death. In the story, Vegas describes her environment through various colors, including green, white, and grey. Whereas white and grey symbolize false purity and decay respectively, the color green offers a symbol of hope.
