  • I played this with another youth symphony orchestra, and I had the bass drum and attached cymbal. I will never forget the day, at the first read-through, at 16:36, when I made the conductor nearly jump off the podium when I crashed double forte into the complete silence. I swear he cued me early!

  • Summers of 1969, 70, and 71...what great memories performing this as a clarinetist, my last year as principal. For you young people out there who also took part in this....you will never forget those great memories. At 58 I still remember conductor George Wilson directing that final concert with the WYS...we just performed this with the National Symphony of Ecuador....all I could think is INTERLOCHEN, NATIONAL MUSIC CAMP.

  • Lolol 27th chair 1st violin. I can't even see myself. But man was this a great moment. I didn't notice until we finished playing the theme, but then I looked around and everyone was crying. It was beautiful.

  • I miss this so much. Soooooo much.

  • Oh my!!! I mean, I attended the Hull House Art and Music Camp back in '68, and, not braggin', we were REALLY GOOD! But this.... I mean OUTSTANDING!!!! To qoute the late Paul Neuman from 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' ," Who ARE those guys?"

  • God I miss this
