A bunch of old Cadillacs planted in a field west of Amarillo Texas. This will look best in full screen.

I did a little research on this and the original installation was made a few miles east of this field in 1974. The caddys were moved to the present site in 1997. I wonder if Bruce Springsteen has ever actually ever seen them up close and personal.

Here is a link to the Wikipedia article about the place

  • Back in the days before before everyone sprayed painted them, Its was Great. Now people have stolen alot of parts.. most of the cars were driven to the hole. After a wild rife in the field

  • @dallaspolo Yeah pretty much anything that could have been stripped off of them already has been. It would have been cool to have seen the installation when it was first done, but it's still pretty cool now, I think, just as it is.

  • @HeyRadialMoon I saw a hour long show about the Cadillac Ranch last month. Maybe they will show it again. It was alot and interesting story

  • @dallaspolo Do you happern to remember what channel it was on? I'd really like to see that. Discovery or History Channel maybe?

  • @HeyRadialMoon Im thinking the History Channel.. They even showed them driving all the cars in the field before putting them in the holes.. all the cars ran and all parts were there.Looked good whe nthey all had the orginial paint and complete.

  • @dallaspolo Thanks I'll look for it!

  • @HeyRadialMoon I was making a bit of a joke.;)

  • @OneEyeJay No, we forgot to stop and buy paint and all the cans laying around on the ground were empty. :(

  • @RideswithChuck Well, I guess it's either this or being sold for scrap and being recycled into a new washing machine or maybe a new Toyota. I think I prefer this.
