It's a weird, shitty kind of therapy. I don't know why, but it's calming to hear your own "emo" thoughts mirrored by someone else. It makes you feel less alone. But when the music stops, you just feel worse. So yeah...it's a contradiction.

I have to say that I can't stand "scene" bands though. You know the type...skinny jeans, long hair, ironic t-shirts, cutesy lyrics. Really gross.
