Cambodian generator 10k 3cyl Yanmar diesel

10k yanmar diesel running in my generator room at my tree farm in Cambodia just installed a Automotive type cruse control to keep the RPM the same under load as this motor did not have a maintaining type governor and would slow under load unless more throttle is given. It works better then i thought it would when you see at 0:19 sec the Hz meter drop when a 25amp load was put to it from my well pump. You can see it dropped slightly then the RPM was returned back to 1500 at the gen head as the cruse control worked. Also I installed a better fully adjustable voltage regulator that will keep 220 volts even if the gen is slowed of over speeds only the Hz changes until the motor comes back up to speed in less the 1 second of a load applied. The motor pully is slightly smaller then the gen head to bring up the RPM some on the diesel. This is the video of the finished set up , its run 100's hours so far all is good as of 02/02/2010

hi can you tell me what cruise control unit you used as i have a similar system but cannot get the cruise control to work at the moment

@1stevemiles summitracing parts RPC-250-1223 I set it up for front wheel drive Europion I'm using 2 magnets . Also with this one you must hook up a brake light , It don't come on the control just senses that its hooked up to brakes light and will not work with out it. After 3 days of pulling out my hair I found this out.

Look for the red Gen heads they are better then the blue ones , The blue in 10k only puts out 7.5

Powers my water well , and the house and shop.

Can run 24/7 if needed but is off most of the day and run at night.

Soon will only be a stand by backup when the city power is turned on.
