Peter Hammill - "A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers/Sleepwalkers" - live solo (1978)

Audio only, this is Peter Hammill (live and solo) with a track from the unofficial live album "Skeletons of Songs", playing a medley of the Van Der Graaf Generator songs "A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers" and "Sleepwalkers", accompanied by my own video compilation. Recorded live at the All Souls Unitarian Church in Kansas City (USA) in February 1978, Hammill explains that all songs when first written exist in their 'skeleton' form, and when playing live and solo none of the orchestration and overdubbing added later are included. Live and solo is by far my favourite way of listening to Peter Hammill, and this album is amongst my top ten all-time favourite albums without question. I have uploaded some of my other favourite tracks from this album (keep watching his space for more).

I compiled the video montage myself utilising footage mostly downloaded from YouTube, with some of my own added effects and filters.

Gibt es ausser mir wirklich noch andere Leute die VDGG/PH hören ???? Ich wurde dafür immer für vollkommen gaga erklärt. Tja - offenbar hat meine Umgebung wenig Musikgeschmack .....

Wow. WHat a rough voice from Hammill. Compared to the Vital version I think Hammill is more pissed here, lol. He loved his fine wines etc... Legendary performance!
