Yeah, I watched it on BTN. But I'm not an alumni...I'm a sophmore at Toledo right now! And I'm not in the marching band. I participate in concert band sometimes and I'm a former high school marching band member. ^_^
If I had the time, I would have joined the RMB!

(cont from previous)...but great day to be a Rocket. We made history and that's something no other MAC team can say and that's something no one can take away from us (first team in our conference to beat Michigan.) YEAH BABY! :-) I dare say Toledo will be the ONLY MAC team to beat UM, anyway did you watch it on BTN? You are an alumni of Toledo correct? Were you in the Rocket Marching Band?

I was there with my dad, we go to two or three (cheap in 2008) Michigan games a year we were in a section with all QUIET Wolverine fans. There were two girls in front of us pulling for the rockets they were going crazy throughout the whole game. I'm a lifelong Michigan fan, but I tossed aside my boys in Maize and Blue for one week because I go to UT. Gotta pull for your school, especially when they have a chance to pull off a big upset. That 101 yd interception return was sweet. Bad day for UM

the band playing it is what makes it awesome though (all the cadences that lead up to the actual fight song are the best) the lyrics are very simplistic- nothing special. The UT band accentuates the whole song like whipped cream on a top of a sundae (for me at least) Go Rockets!

I miss the days of the fight song not being so staccto... I guess that's just the alumni in me, but you play something for 4 years and you get use to it...
also the t-bones and the bari's are over compensating again in the beginning.... but then again, we were always over achievers ;)
