@ashleyandlaycool1fan i had a relative, now deceased, who worked as a nanny/maid in dubai back in the 90's. though she said she was treated good by her host family, even she admitted that abuse does go on there. its so bad that the sri lankan and phillipines govt are no longer allowing women to work as maids in the gulf. thats not to say that indians are not just as guilty of maid abuse either. they are just as horrible in india too, where even children work as house maids.

yes,some people r racist toward indians here cuz there is a larg amout here and alot of people here r annoyed by there attitude, plus the gov. Pays for 2 of ur kids acctualy,regaurdless, and there like 20 million in the gulf so obviously the % wold be high and many indians here r bad too and they havw a bad attutude whichis acctualy normal in there home town,''culture''

@xgotfiveoneitx i disagree with u cuz i have been there like 5 times,true somd dorms r bad but not all,i have seen in another doc. Thats there new ones acctualy as for the bad ones there old and there like 3million indians so u can expect em to build it in a day,the free stuff r acctualy there water etc. And for the payments if its from the gov,then its on time but from agencyies its not always cont.

@ashleyandlaycool1fan ok fair enough, but dont tell me those gulf arabs are not racist towards them, because the stories i hear are quite reverse. but then again alot of arabs who are themselves guest workers also complain about bigotry and discrimination too. i figured its due to snobbery.

we know that the dubai contractors are doing bad...its not the UAE or dubai goverment fault...the contractor are from india and bangladesh who bring they own country men to work....and its the workers fault who want to come to dubai to work for peanuts...every worker i spoke to in dubai knew how much they were gona get paid and what they gona do.

y does the west always try to ruen the image of arabs? If there is a small amount of abuse or any flaw made it will be something huge and they will try to show that the gulf is bad even if its small thing,and as if the west has done nothing but peace,yeah right

@ashleyandlaycool1fan ya but they dont want anyone. but most big cities by now are used to us. like new york or chicago where i live. im often surprised at how many tourists we get to the indian neighborhoods for our food and all that. but of course i have it easier because i am assimilated, im 2nd generation, born and raised in america, most people think im mixed or black, etc.

@ashleyandlaycool1fan but its alot better to be indian in america than it is in the gulf. which is why many immigrate here from the gulf, but never the other way around. many use the gulf as a stepping stone to america, because america allows naturalization and citizenship something the gulf countries do not. i think the racism towards indians in the gulf is alot higher, than racism towards indians in america. i know because i am of indian descent and live here.
