Ok no offence, because this movie is absolutely awesome, but the combine didn't come through a portal in Black Mesa, they opened their own portal after finding out about a low-tech planet called Earth, to conquer it.

So much controversy over the flaws of the movie compaired to the game...

guy's you play through as gordon freeman, spending a maximum of 5 minutes of rushed gameplay as a citizen before you aquire the HEV suit.

you cant compair your assumptions with how that works

the CP are still humans, just work FOR the combine in trade for a better life

THEY'RE NOT IN CITY 17.

they're in some outlands area.

the odds of actually seeing gordon is minimal even IF they were in the correct time zone.

it was very well done for what they had to work with
