1953 ILG.mov

1953 Ilg 8 inch Exhaust fan.I got this off Craigs List.It's new in the box,something thats very rare.A friend of mine spotted it and told me about it.These Nutone style vent fans are unusual for Ilg who mainly made Industrial Exhaust Fans.I've never seen this style in any Ilg catalog.It was produced from 1953 to 1960.It's built like a tank,22 guage steel,they never skimped on quality.

Thanks for sharing. That has got to be the highest quality fan of its type. The blade design is clearly the result of design expertise.  It is tragic that companies with the best engineering don't have a business model that can survive.

ILG was known for quality.Everything was heavy duty,made to last..To give you an example my friend has a 30 inch ILG and the motor alone is about 80 pounds.

I haven't desided if I will sell it or mount it in the upstairs bathroom.I am leaning tward keeping it because it is a very rare piece and because of the power it has It would move the air around.
