It's called "Banks of Spey" if I recall correctly. I don't know if I'm playing it as it should be played but this is how I played it today without checking back with the dots I learnt it from.

  • I dont want to sound nasty but you need to have more scotch snaps but the the notes are right.

  • I'll try for more scotch snaps then next time I'm playing it and see how I like that. Tnx for commenting :)

  • Thanks for posting this awesome tune.. you've inspired me to get my act together and upload something :) I learned this about 10 years ago... it's a tough one, takes a lot of practice!

I love how the Cape Breton fiddlers play strathspeys, all fast and staccato with the bow bouncing around in barely controlled chaos :) Check out some videos of Natalie McMaster, Brenda Stubbert, etc.

  • Yeah, I think you have the title right :D I was looking for this song, and you are the only one who plays it. Thanks!

  • What your doing right now is right =

Dots are ok for to start to learn, the right

notes ,but not looking back at them is working.

I can hear far more feeling now in your Playing.. Please beleave me--
