@chevyhs Yes, if you get the shaft from Subaru they do, Also a Number 2 Phillips screwdriver is good for getting the hole centered with the hole on the transmission side before you install the spring pin.

@RyanDale311 Yeah, The hub and nut center the shaft in the bearings. Also be certain to use a torque wrench as there needs to be tension on the whole assembly or you can blow out the splines inside the hub (learned that the hard way)

Nice vid, though it is recommended that you DON'T have the wheel on (especially while supporting the car's weight) when removing the axle nut, you can wreck your bearings.

@Fmiguelify Yes, you can call it either one, and you can also call it a CV axle.

Do the new subaru cv shafts have the pin that holds the shaft to the trans spline? Like 2003 wrx wagon?
