Once again the Liverpool Five version blows away the Troggs version just as they did with "Anyway That You Want Me"....Both are on You Tube for you to compare.
-
@dirtywaterclub The Liverpool Five record credits T. Scott, V. Morrison and P. Coulter as the co-writers on this tune. Tommy Scott went on to produce their second album " Them Again".

must have been made after "gloria" and "satisfaction" .... cause they pulled a lot outta those 2 songs ...... enough for me to recognize ..... still ........ sounds, pretty good!

This version sucks!!!

@MrWilkat1 That Haunted version is a blast as is the one by the L'pool Five that others have noted.
-
I only know the version done by the band "The Haunted" from Montreal and they had a hit with this song, and we covered it with our band at the time as well as a result. Never heard this version from the Troggs before, which is odd, as we covered a number of their hits back then too.

"Hev you got a light?" is lifted from Allan Smethurst, "The Singing Postman", a 1960s novelty act.
