The Burbank First UMC Chancel Choir singing the first movement of Haydn's Heiligmesse in their annual spring concert CELEBRATION & PRAISE! This concert was directed by Dr. Todd J. Harper on Sunday, April 20, 2008
And Haydn always had exaggerated variations in tempo, look at his Te Deum or many others. The Kyrie is typically done slowly, I would know because I've sang this whole master work with three different conductors.
