The thing is, the dance is meant to be feminine and girly, and when you try to make it masculine, (like a guy version) is amounts to squat because it's not meant to be masculine. A huge part of the dance, from what I can tell, lies in the way shoulders, and hips are moved, which makes it feminine, but it also makes it cool cool. When you take that away, a huge part of the dance is lost, so it just looks like you're spinning and jumping without it, which, isn't much.
