Idiot. Why would they do that, some people already have the memory and would be paying more than they actually need. And what's the point? The camera would be $100 more and you would be able to buy the same memory for a lot less. Prices of memory also vary a lot over time, another reason not to include a large memory card. You are obviously very dumb.

if you look in Walmart at battery charges, some are QUICK CHARGERS and charge batteries in as little as 15 min. They "burn up" the batteries with these high, quick charges. It is better to get one of the other chargers there which take a few HOURS to charge the batteries. Slow charging is less damaging to the batteries and they will last longer. Make sure it is not a RAPID Charger or Quick Charger. It will tell you on package front.

yes. youtube doesn't want everyone to have this code as it is reserved for high definition camcorders which is what this is used for.

if everyone added this code, youtube's bandwidth would be overloaded, which is not something a major corporation would want.

That doesn't make sense to me BUT considering I many times forget to take lens cap off before I turn it on, maybe it's just as well. It should really stay on better though. hey, anyone needing high speed SD cards, try Meritline-dot-com (not supposed to put addresses on here??. They have a 4GB Class 6 high speed card for $12.99 now! Great cards. I have three of them. The canon needs lots of card spaces IF you use the videos much like I do. They are large files.

It's because if the lens was stuck on any harder when you take it off it could easily hurt the lens motor.

It should be possible to attach the lens cap on the neck strap so you don't loose it.

It MIGHT, be possible to use something like tape inside the cap to let the cap sit a little tighter. But be careful =)

Note to all who use cameras with AA batteries. When you purchase a charger, get a SLOW charger. Do not get one of those "quick chargers" because they are too hard on the batteries. To last longer and endure more use, batteries should be slowly charged - 6 hrs is pretty usual for set of 4. Advice passed on to ME by an "expert" in the field. I have the Canon S5 and it's incredible. But lens cap does not stay on and that is only complaint. Can't imagine why they didn't catch that problem!
