Music video from 1984 featuring rap artist SCOTT FREE. The story centers around Scott's attempts to free his wrongly-imprisoned musician friend. He resorts to blackmailing Nancy Reagan over some racy photographs to get his drummer sprung from jail. Filmed on-location during the Reagan era in Washington DC, New Jersey and NYC. "Beat The Rap" is one of the first indie rap videos to appear on Black Entertainment Television (BET). The drummer is played by Neal H. Pogue, reknown music mixer/producer (Outkast, TLC and others).

I have been looking for this video for YEARS!!! You just made my day. This thing was one of the first videos I ever saw on BET and I always wanted to see more of Scott Free. What's he been up to?
