Sort like the Everly Bros ..... but w/ basses! A wicked bass solo by Franklin on his signature fretless. FYI: Jonas Hellborg is sitting in the FRONT row , wearing the bright silver jacket.
Dave on vocals. I had just missed them doing " Fables of Faubus" by Mingus. Damn!!!

  • sweet and smooth, just how i like it ;)

  • Worth mentioning that the number they're playing is 'Spoonful' by that other great bass player, Willie Dixon and covered perhaps most famously by Cream, featuring yet another legendary bass player, Jack Bruce. Met Dave Pomeroy recently on a trip to Nashville, though I have to say that I didn't realise who he was at the time. Sorry Dave.

  • Dave is undoubtly right at the top of the list of the world's best players. I have met him on many occasions in sessions. A very humble guy and very much willing to admire other great bass players, too.

  • woooooooooooooow i want to do something like that!!! great!!

  • Damn... 10 people in the audience all spread out like that... this reminds me of that Jazz Odyssey scene from Spinal Tap.

  • Nice video, thanks. I always liked Tony's playing with Blue Murder way back when.
