Smooth aerial looking behind plane flying over Berlin from Spree river w/ bombed houses / buildings. Following above canal or river, pedestrians & cars on bridges; over collapsed bridge, shells of buildings. Above wide highway thru burned woods, pedestrians along each side; over Brandenburg Gate & low along Unter den Linden boulevard w/ occasional cars; heavily damaged roofless buildings along street, then across buildings.
Slate: Berlin. Aerial in direction of flight, down over gutted buildings, railyards & industrial buildings. Edge of lake, then more burned factories.
Looking forward & down at residential area, destroyed railyard & factories along tracks. Low.
Looking rear & down at roofless or collapsed factories, buildings w/ little life visible. Large tall circular building w/ steel beams still in place & small turrets.
Looking rear & down low over streets w/ some traffic, roofless buildings, collapsed buildings. Factories, across railroad tracks, over small farms (?).
Over larger buildings, roofless; railroad station w/ collapsed steel over tracks & following tracks away, across canal, along completely destroyed rail roadbed. Bridges over wide railyard; over buildings, across canal. More railyards (repeat or pull-back). Over railroad station w/ part of roof remaining.
Following street over adjacent rooftops.
Slate: McCord X-A44. Brief fixed shot; tracking shot past destroyed buildings at ground level, man sitting on rubble. Partial walls standing, occasional trees, mostly mounds of bricks, walls silhouetted against blue sky w/ some clouds.
Slate: Halle- Brief women / men shoveling in rubble.
People lined along sidewalk outside buildings w/ names above awnings. Sign: Leben Mittel (sp?) & women lined up beneath.
View across street w/ several bicycles, crowd standing; military jeep past. MCU woman in hat reading newspaper; many men & women getting newspapers at kiosk. Queue or line of people waiting for newstand, CU paying coins for papers.
LS men / POW in army uniforms clearing rubble next to large buildings. Abrupt end.
