'Blow Away' by George Harrison from the album 'George Harrison'. I personally think, that this album is giantly underrated, but I think that critics were doing it just because, that George said, that he doesn't care about them (just my opinion). Otherwise, this album is great.

Remastered from some random MP3 file found with Google, but the original file sounded far worse than the 2009 Stereo Remaster of this song, I want a challenge. I would appreciate, if you would try and compare these two, would be interested what you think. But be aware, the 2009 remaster can be a bit louder than this, and it can automatically sound better, just because of the volume, even if it doesn't have to actually.

As always, remastered with a professional audio engineering software.

"Blow Away" was a 1979 hit single by George Harrison, taken from his eponymous album. The song is one of Harrison's most popular and beloved post-Apple singles, but also one of the simplest. Its uptempo pop sound fell far outside of the dominant genres of the era, disco and punk. "Blow Away", written on a rainy day (that's why first verses are about clouds), was included in Nuns on the Run - a comedy with Eric Idle and Robbie Coltrane.

The accompanying video was a simple affair; featuring various shots of George singing the song superimposed over shots of moving clouds and land, and in some instances, singing with full sized toys (a wind-up duck; sitting on a toy dog). There are even a few quick instances of "The Quiet Beatle" acting silly - breaking into a quick smirk as the camera closes in, and doing a very simple dance step are two of them.

As this was early in music videos, the simplistic style wasn't out of the norm; however this received nominal airplay on MTV and was featured more on VH1.

The song reached #51 on UK charts (his first notable chart appearance since "You" in 1975, that reached #38). More impressively single charted in USA and Canada - #16 and #3, respectively. Furthermore, on the US Adult Contemporary chart it reached #2.

  • @shaung:

Flghtwolf has added a new fraudulent ID to his repertoire: "MrAnusmystere." This very pansy attempt to lash out at me only confirms his humiliation and envy. He's very, very upset that JaimeGuitar50 and I have been "outing" him over his use of multiple false IDs (CubanCheGuevara, TwoUselessLegs,thegrinchl7, ArgentineExpel4FRAUD) to create the false impression that others share his unhinged, stupid views. How pathetic.

But what else can this forty-something, unemployed mommy's boy do?

  • @FrightwoIf:

Or should I refer to you by your other troll IDs, e.g., MrAnusmystere, CubanCheGuevara, thegrinchl7, TwoUselessLegs, ArgentineExpel4FRAUD, Flghtwolf, et al?

George Harrison was never "prosecuted" for plagiarism, dimwit. Civil courts render monetary judgments, not "prosecute" as do criminal courts. You're so ignorant!

That said, John Lennon faced imminent loss for HIS PLAGIARIZING, but settled out of court to cover up his shame. Only a lying retard (you) would claim otherwise.

  • What a amazing George Harrison song!! Thanks for the post!

  • @FrightwoIf Still trolling and hating on George? Get a life you nobody.

  • Ugh! What is it about Harrison tunes? Awkward

and clumsy, the lyrics suffer from a kind of self-

consciousness. Little wonder the Beatles refused

to record so much of his stuff. Later, when he went

solo, he probably wished that they had kept

censoring his music (My Sweet Lord). What other

Beatle would be prosecuted for PLAGIARIZING

other people's hit songs? Or NEEDED to!
