He deserved it, but it's going to be hard to get Rondo, Deron Williams and Derrick Rose for a spot.

Kyrie is a special, special player. I'd take him over any PG in the league right now and pretty soon all of America will see just how good he is. He will be a top 5 player in the league, MVP candidate. There is nobody in the league with his size, quickness, handles, touch around the hoop, finishing ability with both hands and oh yea I forgot, LETHAL JUMPSHOT, that is only going to get better. 50% from the field, 40%+ from 3, and over 85% from the FT line as arookie. Are you kidding me? KY

To be fair he didn't finish this yearw ith those stats you posted. He did have those stats at a certain point of the year, but finished with 47%, 40%, 87%. Still impressive nonetheless.

People don't seem to realize Kyrie was the only player on the team the defense had to gameplan against. Really, you're going to throw up Curry's numbers on a team with Monta Ellis? And a quality Magette? Guess who wasn't the number 1 priority on defense. Just saying. Numbers aren't always right, but people love to hide behind them. Can you watch Curry's game and think he has the potential to be as good as Kyrie on any sort of eye test? If you think so, you're watching the wrong tape.

I LOVE D Rose, but Kyrie will be the starting PG in the east within 3 years. Kid is just so incredibly skilled in all facets of the game.

Nah Cleveland doesn't know how to surround their stars with a pod supporting cast. They already showed that with LBJ

He shot 47% as a rookie. Sorry for being a dick, but still Irving is amazing.

Rose will probably miss a big chunk of next season. Kyrie will deserve that spot
