  • Motown is STILL magic after all these years. My grandchildren love The Four Tops.

  • This is one floor filler, I'm sixty and its one that always takes me to the floor.

    Thanks for this my friend.

  • This is definitely a jam for all times.

  • I served with the First Cav, in Vietnam, from June 1969 thru July 1970 and had a friend I served with who had a cassette of Four Tops music that he played (it seemed) 24/7. THIS recording takes me back the best of times and the worst of times.

  • MotownMaster, I just heard the news about a few days ago, Levi Stubbs, the original lead singer of the Four Tops has died at the age of 72. His music will still live on forever. God bless him. RIP :(

  • MotownMaster:Thank you for keeping Motown's music alive! I, like Chicago10281 also covered this song on the site. It truly is one of the best Four Top hits!

  • I did this song on the network, which was released as Motown 1090 in February of 1966 and it's a great Holland-Dozier-Holland penned tune! It's also on the Singing Machine's "Motown Master Recordings-Original Artist Karaoke- My Girl" with the Temptations on the cover! Check out the Singing Machine's website for more info!

  • I have come to treasure both 45 mono versions and stereo version for completely different reasons. I listen to the stereo versions as a musician- I love hearing the separation and finding out all the instruments in the mix. BUT those mono 45's I listen to as a fan because the sound on those is so BIG and really kick major A**! Especially on this tune, the mono version just blew me away- the interplay between the bass and bass drum alone is unbeatable- and it sounds best only on Mono!

  • This song was also the last track on a Motown compilation LP "A Collection of 16 Big Hits - Vol. 7" and also on the Four Tops album "Greatest Hits" in 1967.
