Surely, there should be room for expressing opposing views, but these have to be done in a REASONABLE way. When RW cries "genocide" and "human rights" to stop the extemsion of the GSP+ or when he canvasses to stop the 1.9 Bil. loan, at the cost of the interests of the country, he is a traitor in my eyes. I'm not alone when one sees the last provincial counsil results. By the way, no one calles Ananda Sangaree or Douglas Devananda as traitors, though they voice the mind of the Tamil minority.

Going forward from military victories this is the kind of attitude we should guard against. There should be room for opposing views to be expressed without fear or intimidation in a democratic way. Any opposing view should not be construed as 'against us'. If the leader of the opposition( from the majority sinhalese) cannot raise issues of concern without being labeled a traitor what hope is there for some simpleton from any of the minority communities or anyone for that matter?
