T.R. Johnson, Dave, Will, T-Bone and I (Randy Cohick) arrived at Hyner View to find the winds to be a bit stronger than forecast. After waiting 90 minutes I was first to launch. Launch was uneventful but the air aloft was textured with frequent turbulence A young eagle (previously spotted prior to launch) joined my flight at about 33 min on video and can be spotted over the ensuing minutes. Thermals were broken and punchy and good altitude was elusive due to overcast. Everyone remarked later that the air was difficult and most were glad to be back on the ground. Upon making my landing approach, I experienced unexpected buoyancy after failing to sufficiently slip my turn on final as much as I had hoped to. As it turned out, the field was just long enough. All in all, another beautiful day of flying at Hyner View. Hope you enjoy the flight..
Nice flight, for a second there, i really thought you were going to overshoot, maybe almost did?

Nice place and flight. I will be heading back to Pa for a couple of weeks in the spring. I am hoping to bring my wing and get to fly some sites. What are the requirements, if any, to fly Hyner?

Nice vid. Please let me make a few suggestions. I find pilots like to see the launch, high lights, and landing. So basically my vids come out to about 5 min. Not so long that they get tired of the flight and forward to the end...Just saying! Hope to see more vids from you soon! Thanks for the flight.
