*I am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.* Seven juvenile raccoons in their hammock.

Racoons are insanely smart, some guys out doing a field exercise in my platoon were set up by some. They got into their packs while two of them distracted a group of guys. When they turned around the racoons actually formed a line to a tree and were passing things to each other the food from their aussualt packs.. They figured out how to open them up and it was really funny to hear

okay thank explain about raccoon as good pet,,,
legal 50 states are not important,,,
let animals pets can use happy family home,,,
same in honolulu and los angeles are illegal ferrets,,,
ferrets are sooo cute fun love tame playful ferrets too much

@bestamerica They're adorable animals, but they can be quite a handful! Check your state's laws to see if it's even legal to have a raccoon as a pet. In Georgia (where I live), it's illegal!

No if anyone should be sorry its me for starting up something on such a cute video but I'm still going to eat meat and fish and you and no one else can change that! I love animals but I also realize that just like you can't force a Lion to eat veggitation unless you want it to get sick and die you can't force me not to eat meat unless you want me to get sick and die............ And well I learned something just cause 1 person rubs you the wrong way doesn't mean that you should rile them up!

@DarkAngelPaladin raccoons get my vote for the most likely creature to evolve human level intellect and take over our place when we die off, they are wicked ass smart

@dianapanny Thank you! It's pretty incredible. I wish it was my job and I got paid for it. Instead, I have a "real" job that I do in order to fund this volunteer work! I also rely on donations from the public.

@lizzie9208 I'm curious, how they react front of a mirror ? They look quiet, last summer I heard a raccoon family almost every night calling each other while they walked near my building, was funny...
do they love heavy metal music ? their faces are painted like marilyn manson's face.

@MrAlsaco I've never thought to introduce them to a mirror! What an interesting idea - I'll definitely have to do it when baby season begins in the spring!
