The creation of "God" was a misunderstanding. Every holy book chronicles the interaction of extra-terrestrial species and homo-sapiens, but because of the limited knowledge and technology at hand by the writers of these books, the only explanation that could be offered is a supernatural of some greater force, then deemed "God." For Christians, the mythology of the religion completely contradicts itself. Just ask yourself this - if God was all loving, why would it require us to worship it?
