Heh. Well, she didn't.

If you are referring to the "100 + thousand Iraqis" losing their lives to Saddam committing genocide against the Kurds, then you are absolutely correct.
If you mean that against Coalition Forces, then I am sorry, but you are very sadly mistaken.
It's a good thing the media wasn't in it's current blitz format when WWII was going on. We would have never got anything done, much less come close to defeating a horrible regime.
How easy people forget at what cost their own freedom comes from.

Thank GOD she didnt get elected.

Do you think that the Revloutionary War was unnecessary because people died? or how about the civil war? how how about HItler if we didnt go to war against hitler the world would have a serious shortages of Jews. war must be fought young men must die. Freedom is always worht fighting for otherwise will be telling our grandchildern what it was once like in America. and you still advoid my question on iraq which proves that you still know nothing of this war and who is a liar!
-
who ever said we wanted to invade iraq? we did it because we thought it was best.
your the type of person that no matter what will always see the negative and will always think that this was for nothing. but since going into iraq they are free unlike under saddam. freedom is always worth fighting for no matter what, no matter where, no matter what time. also if i was Bush or even Obama now i would have gotten rid of Nkorea long ago. same with sudan and myanmar i know nothing about

"yes ppl are still dying but not at the rate that it once was"
One life is too many. Not to mention the 100 + thousand Iraqis that have lost there lives. You can't just invade a country just because you want too. If that's the case then what about North Korea, DRC, Sudan, Myanmar? The negatives will always outweigh the positives when it comes to an unnecessary war. We all know why we invaded Iraq in the first place so all the stuff you mention is inconsequential for the most part.

I would say out of the past 6 years 4 of they years was very bad and we were losing this war but since 2007 more positives are happening. violence is down by 85% since the surge. 11 or 12 of the 18 iraqi Provinces have been turned back over to the iraqis. Also another election is going to take place sometime this month or early Feb. i can keep going. you still know nothing of this war and i wish you'd shut the fuck up because your making yourself look stupid.

YEs by the end of either 2010 or 2011. and Obama wants us to leave in 16 months which means will be back in 20 or so years. No there are more positives going on in iraq now. The media has yet to acknowledge the success of the surge and of the iraqi people. we have just recently in the pass month turn over the green zone back to the iraqis. anbar which was once hailed as lost was returned. yes ppl are still dying but not at the rate that it once was. most positive are happening.

Speaking of election...Doesn't the Iraqi government want the U.S. occupation to be end? But anyway...You really do have to search for news...it's not usually on the front page of many newspapers or websites. You're right the mainstream media doesn't report on some of the positive things that are taking place there. But there are more negatives than positives that have occured in the past five almost six yrs so you can't blame them. I personally don't believe it was worth the sacrifice.

i agree with you on this but not my problem. nor is it my department. but i want to know why you advoided everything i said to you about what the media reports? everything you have said is common knowledge or so i thought it was. but that still doesnt answer the question of how often does the media report on us building new schoosl, and hositals and such. on and the iraqi govt is about to have another election since 2005. idk about you i havt heard much about this from the media.
It's a shame that Hill thinks she knows more about the situation on the ground then a General who probably makes his bed in that country everynight. Also, if these hearings are so important then why do these Dems feel the need to open their mouths and rail on everything from Bush to the Iraqi's before they get to their questions, then they bitch about being short on time. Perhaps, they are just short on brains.
