"Home Free" was the first album I ever heard by someone I had at that time in the '70's never even heard of: Dan Fogelberg. The album was a gift to me. I fell in love with this wonderful musician immediately, and played this album over and over and over again; mainly one side -- the side with Be On Your Way on it. Oh, so beautiful..... I cannot thank you enough for this one, Bill. Simply Perfect....

Although he became a more accomplished musician and arranger, nothing matched the emotional intensity of this album, in my opinion. I got Souvenirs first and knew I had to get everything else he wrote. Can't call a favorite. To the morning, Stars, Wysteria, Hickory Grove, River, Anyway I love you...amazing first work..

..39 years later I am happily married to the second love of my life and have been since childhood so it seems. Went to tuck in our precious 11 year old little girl and forgot I was on YT~not to mention it's after 6:00 AM & I fell to sleep! I knew I'd be on here until sunup listening to as much of Home Free as possible; I just! listened/am listening yet again to Be On Your Way. ThankYou Bill for each & every one of the Ever On Tributes to Dan you create & share. Bless You Now; Bless You Daily!

..Think To The Morning was 1st~I loved all! of Home Free by Dan immediately~was captivated~mesmerized~no words really to describe how all moved me~listened to all many times until way after sunup~wide awake~in awe of Dan Fogelberg; every song on HF, loved them all equally. A Dan Fan was born. I listened to HF every second possible, alone or when my friend of 9 monts~a yr. later my 1st love~age 22 he cheated~broke my hear~I cried while wearing out the side of Home Free w/Be On Your Way on it...

Bill it's Christmas Eve. Had I to come to listen to & watch the images you put w/this;wonderful, as always. Listening, bittersweet nostalgia overwhelms me. 12/23/1972 I turned 18~12/25/1972 a friend gave HF by Dan Fogelberg (who?) to me as a Christmas gift. I thanked him while looking over the cover~names of songs~thinking never heard of Dan Fogelberg nor any titles. When I returned to my apartment crawled into bed & put HF into my stereo to check out & lull me to sleep.

Happy Birthday, Dan. RIP♥
Dan's music was always heartfelt! And it only got better and better! The only trade0off was he lost that amazing high tenor voice when he had to get his tonsils taken out, that kept constantly getting infected! But Dan was more than willing to do what it took to remedy the situation! I saw the difference in his voice for myself, after having seen him in concert in 1985, and then seeing him next in 1991! I was a little shocked at first at his lower, raspier voice, but Dan was always magical

@bobby7771117 Dan’s lyrics and melodies have inspired me to come forward to create tribute videos to him after his passing, and I am glad I have done it and accomplished many. May his timeless music and boundless love continue to heal us through the toughest times, bring joy and happiness to you and stays in our hearts for ever on... God bless you always!
