I know this may be stupid to ask but, is Oceanic Airlines real and did this crash really happen on September 24, 2004. I can't find any traces of it.

No, it's not real. "Oceanic Airlines" is a fake airline that the movie/TV business uses in place of a "real" airline. The "Lost" people just took things a lot farther than usual.
