Im looking into buying a nikon p5100, i know you used one, in your opinion is it good for night sky time lapse mainly and sunrise and sunset. thanks.

Thanks. I have the same camera and set it for 30sec and left it on for maybe 20 min as my nephew ate a bowl of pudding... on the camera, it plays back with all the frames, but when copy the avi to my computer and play it back, it's missing frames. I was seeing if this ever happened to you.

well it was saved onto my SD card so i just drag and dropped.... i think there is a way to do a live recording straight onto your computer.. but i am not sure

when you transferred to you computer, did you lose any frames?

Hi, i didn't lose any frames. You can change the time intervals in between taking the pictures though. Such as 30 seconds per photo, or 1 hour per photo etc. The resolution looks bad, because i have to make it smaller for Youtube.
