I say many sing like Teresa not necessarily because they are trying to imitate Teresa's voice, rather, because Teresa is so influential.

Many Chinese female singers try and imitate or emulate Deng Li Jun. Though many sound good, none of them can quite get the silky tone and texture of Deng Li Jun.
