@catetasa It can be used by girls. It's just kinda tomboyish, especially 'ore'. It's more common to hear a girl say 'boku' or 'ore' than a guy saying 'atashi', in any case.

@catetasa I've seen this in many many japanese songs. I always thought that probably the writer of the lyrics was a man, or that the rythem would result wrong using anything but "boku" since "watashi" has one syllable more. That's just my personal theory xD
