Bowman is one of those products that many people either love or hate; I am still undecided. The base set consists of 220 cards; 200 veterans and 20 rookies. There are several parallel versions of the base set, some are sequentially numbered: Gold, Blue numbered to 500, Orange numbered to 250, and Red all 1 of 1.
10 of the 20 rookies signed their cards. There are also Blue, Orange and Red sequentially numbered parallels of the autographed versions. The Blue are numbered to 500, Orange numbered to 250, and Red all 1 of 1.
The printing plates for the base set are also randomly inserted. The rookies that autographed their base cards also autographed their printing plates.
In addition to the base set the product also contains a 110 card set of prospects. The prospect set has parallel versions too: Gold that are not numbered, Blue numbered to 500, Orange numbered to 250, and Red all 1 of 1.
The prospect set also comes in a Chrome edition with their own parallels. Refractors numbered to 599, X-Fractor numbered to 275, Blue numbered to 150, Gold numbered to 50, Orange numbered to 25, Red numbered to 5, and Super-Fractor all 1 of 1.
25 of the Chrome Prospect subjects come in autographed versions. Of course, they also have numbered parallels of each. The parallel sets and numberings are the same as the standard Chrome set.
The printing plates for all of the Chrome Prospects are available too; The 25 prospects that signed their cards also autographed their printing plates.
There is also a box loader set called Signs of the Future. These cards are only available in HTA boxes. There are 35 subjects and all of the cards are autographed. The printing plates for these cards are also available, all are signed.
To round it out there is an odd insert set that features 21 baseball scouts. All of the cards are signed.
There are a few annoyances besides all of the parallel versions. The main one is the black borders, they are next to impossible to keep clean and crisp. The other is many of the cards are turned all different directions in the packs. One nice thing, however, is all of the recently traded players are in their new uniforms.
In my box I received a few numbered veteran parallel cards, several Gold parallels, a stack of Prospects, Chrome Prospects, and about half of the base card set.
I also got a Gold Chrome Prospect of Ryan Ouellette, and a Chrome Prospect autograph of Scott Cousins. Over all it was a very disappointing box, but that happens sometimes.
you should make a video tip on collecting or start to collect baseball cards. also a guide on how to handle them in a binder etc this is cool. I collect baseball
