A Tour Of Poor Dayton - Fairborn

I take you to the city of Fairborn. The city is located in Greene County near Dayton and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The area was once the village of Fairfield. It was settled before Ohio was a state. The first log cabin was built by George Greiner in 1799.

Many attractions include: The National Air Force Museum, The Mall At Fairfield Commons, Wright State University, Skyborn Drive-In Theater, the Sweet Corn Festival, the Air Force Marathon, the Nutter Center, Interstate 675, State Route Highway 844 and Huffman Prairie, part of Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park.

Huffman Prairie is patch of rough pasture where the Wright Brothers trained themselves to be pilots. The Wright brothers made hundreds of flights here after developing the 1905 Wright Flyer III.

The Wright Flying School, was also located in Fairborn.

In 1948 the area was merged with nearby Wright Field and became Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

For you paranormal and extraterrestrial fans. Wright Patterson Air Force Base has a urban legend about its Building 18. Can someone please open that box so the world would know!

I was told that they take care of the unidentified flying objects (UFOs) for those who are not familiar!

FAQ- The reason why I call this A Tour of Poor Dayton is because of the area's declining population, people losing jobs, boarded homes, businesses closing and economic turmoil in Montgomery, Miami and Greene Counties. And mostly Ohio in general. I am giving those who have never been to Dayton a chance to understand the plight of manufacturing communities.

So that will put to rest any questions of why I titled the videos!
