This was the 15th annual `Midlands Lung Run` in aid of the British Lung Foundation. It was held on the morning of Sunday 27th April 2008 in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
In the spirit of `Chariots of Fire` there was some thing for everyone. The serious athletes the 10k race, the Fun Run of 5K and for the kids the 2K run. There were people of every colour and creed. Age was not a bar and men and woman of all ages
enjoyed the day and received cheers from family, friends and supporters of the day
as they approached the finishing line on Palace Hill, opposite the Visitors Centre, Sutton Park, which is near to the Town Gate entrance where they received their medals, a drink of water and a bar of chocolate.
Over 1,000 competitors for the event signed up and the charity of the British Lung Function Foundation will benefit from the contributions in what was a great day in Sutton Coldfield.
All runners were issued with a ChampionChip -- Results will be available only through www.lunguk.org on Wednesday 30th April 2008
