A haredi youth attempted to burn an Israeli flag in Kikar Shabbat, in the Geula/Mea Sha'arim neighborhood of Jerusalem on Sunday night in a provocative show against Holocaust Remembrance Day, Jerusalem police said.

A police detective on the scene detained him and the youth was taken for questioning.

The crowds of haredim were dispersed and police continued to patrol the neighborhood to prevent further incidents.

No law against burning the flag in America. It is considered to be free speech under the Bill of Rights 1st amend. You may get your ass kicked into the pavement, but not arrested.

  • There are muslims burning the dutchflag and they don't get arrested...mmm..
