Break the Silence is a short film about diabetes seen from the perspectives of 25 IDF Youth Ambassadors from around the globe.
Break the Silence was filmed during the IDF Diabetes Congress in Cape Town, December 2006. The Youth Ambassadors were gathered for a workshop to create an action plan for how they as young people living with diabetes can support the UN resolution on diabetes and contribute to ensure that the resolution is implemented in their home countries.

Touch the heart before you ask for the hand is an old philosophy that many use today. We have to explain why we need help in this area of health care, we can't just ask for it. This is how most things in government are completed.
These people are taking time out of their lives to step up and take action. It is all volunteer, and frankly I feel very good to know that me telling my story to government or general public will help educate people, and create progress in this world for health care.
