Thanks for the comment. These bikes have both the option of a throttle and pedlec (peddle assistance) so it’s up to the rider which one they use. The throttle is really there for when the rider needs as extra bit of power.
Nice bike, I rode an urban mover brand pedal driven electric bike the other day and it was a very nice experience. Unlike the one in this video, it required you to pedal in order to access the power, these are called pedelecs, which makes much more sense than bicycles that can be ridden like scooters. Most commuters like me value the exercise and really don't need the throttle based operation that is available on some bikes. Pedelecs are also recommended by Oz road transport departments.
