  • The engine has 5kW (6,8 HP).

This is much more than the Nitro and Electric powered T-Rex 700

    best regards,

    Chris

  • @TheManFromMoon

I'm sorry but how is it much more? 700MX has 4000W continuous and 6000W peak. By standards peak is considered motor strength so 6000W is 6kW and that is 8.06HP and is much more than 6.8HP. I'm sorry if I wrote something wrong.

  • @DobarDabar,

On electric motors the power is not measured on the shaft, it is measured in front of the ESC, so you have to consider the efficiency of ESC and motor. Lets say it is very high and has 90% efficiency (I really think it is less than that).

Than the electric motor 700MX is able to deliver 3,6kw (4 x 0,9 = 3,6), but the turbine is able to deliver 5kw continuous.

    Best regards,

    Chris

  • Hi Cliff!

The weight is 5355g (without fuel) + 900g fuel

    best regards,

    Chris

    Chris

Hi, me again :). So basically it has 6.8HP for 6200g so that is 1.09 hp/kg continuous. 700E has, as you said 3.6kw that is 4.8 hp for 4.7kg and that is 1.02 hp/kg continuous but with peak capable of 6.0 * 0.9 = 5.4 which is 7.23 hp and 1.49 hp/kg which would say that 700E is snappier and more agile in certain conditions. Am I right?

    Best regards

    Hi Chris,

it makes sense :). Very, very nice heli, would like to see it in person.

    regards

  • @TheManFromMoon you are aware that some guys put handmade custom scorpion motors in their 700 electric helis, and have logged more than 8KW of power? turbine might sound stronger, but in terms of maximum peak power and especially reaction time until the power is available, electric motors are unbeaten. I wouldn't try flying hard tic tocs with that machine ;) but it's of course a nice way to start with turbine flying!

  • Nice! How much power from the engines?

  • Very very nice wow

  • hi i was wondering if you could tell me a site where i could purchase t-rex helicopters

    thanks :)
