See the Mini go for a spin, as well as the new wind-up windows demonstrated in this suggestive Australian advert.

  • @JBofBrisbane Interesting... Roads in Seattle were paved the whole way, though some suburban streets weren't paved until the late 1960s...

  • @shmuli9 - Hey - in Brisbane at the time, many of the roads were only paved in a narrow strip down the middle.

  • @oneleggedtog - And I would presume that colliding with a LR Defender would be 14 times more likely to kill someone than colliding with anything smaller and less rigid.

  • @moochincrawdad I share your pain, my friend.

  • @AustinSomerset My dad's Austin Maxi with vinyl seats, the UK heatwave of 1976 and me in shorts - 'nuff said!

  • Hmmm. Vinyl seats. Naked flesh. 'nuff said.

  • @oneleggedtog The Land Rover may be 14 times more likely to have the accident in the first place! The Mini's excellent roadholding was designed for active safety, not passive safety.

    :o)

  • ROFL!

  • Just start making these again with airbags and a different engine. It'd sell like hotcakes. Mmm....hotcakes....in a mini!
