@therealmadc0w That video discredits the belief that animals are people too, which is a view that I never subscribed to hold since it is factually inaccurate. My question was more metaphysical and had to do with the intrinsic worth of different kinds of life. I guess that's a discussion that probably belongs in a college philosophy class and not on youtube. Oh, and I'm omnivorous too, but at the same time I respect life that isn't human. I don't think the two are contradictory.

@therealmadc0w So this is a question I've been struggling with, and the more I think I about it, the more complicated it gets: what makes a human life intrinsically more valuable than an animal's life? Specially an animal that did not ask to be selectively bred, but whose genetic makeup was tampered with anyhow just to suit our purposes and vanities?
