I also experienced this quake and believe me reciting these verses calm you like nothing else...

@fixxxer2673 thats a stereotype.. we are outnumber.. we are really tolerant and respectful towards every one..

But those who u think are in majority (of us) .. are actually in minority but have access to the web and world and have means so they can demolish our image.. but that one extremist dont actually represent us AT ALL..

what sad is.. that u guys believe that those few hundred represents millions of us.. just Cause BBC or some crapy biased news paper said so.. Thats a shame..

@fixxxer2673 I agree with most what you say. These religions (all religions, actually) preach hatred, imperialism, homophobia, and abdication of reason. In their own times, they had their utility, but now they are obsolete. We don't need another religion now. Let us move forward to a society based on mutual respect and trust. That can only be possible when extremism (both religious and agnostic) are taken care of.

@Shirvanee I am very familiar with the Quran (having been raised in a Pakistani-Muslim family) and I have seen the wanton violence and destruction within it. Islam is not the only religion I have a problem with; it is with all religions, including Christianity and Judaism which preach hatred, homophobia, imperialism, intellectual superiority, irrational subservience and an abdication of reason. The Quran was written in the medieval ages, and it shows in the morality it preaches.
