James Murphy was great everywhere he's been - Testament, Death, Obituary, Disincarnate, Konkhra. And his album Convergence is great. Spiritual Healing and Cause of Death are for me his finest moments. Those albums definitively were a great influence on the Death-metal scene. Hear them today, 20 years later.

James Murphy is definitely one of my favorite guitarists. He has a distinctive tone, and playing style. You can always tell him apart.

Cause of Death and Death's Spritual Healing (RIP chuck) changed the way I wanted to play lead guitar for the rest of my life. I still listen to this album nearly 20 years after first hearing it, never get bored of this album, its a masterpiece :D
