@PSG1BEN Very well said!!!

its funny how jkd has turned into a filopino martial art

The rules of this point is you have to get them before they get you, you learn it from your own master from your ownself. For all the wc/jkd fighter's out there, keep up the good work, don't argue with peoples who doesn't understand a thing or two.. They'll know it when you get inside the ring with them only.

@PSG1BEN I agree with you man...well said it....

Beginning didn't look great for me. For those who thought that, watch a bit more. It's actually pretty decent and flows.

@simonmafy I dont see all TMA as BS personally, but I do see alot of wasted motion in them. I toss out what I wont use and stay with simple so it's reflex and quick.
But I wouldn't go as far as saying all TMA is BS. After all, what inspired JKD was TMA, he just thought the ones he studied were too complicated or too defensive or something.
There are simple quick powerful TMA's though. Not many, but they exist.

Lets make it clear. There are two kind of JKD practitioners. One practices JKD concepts (add what is useful to original JKD) and one that practices strictly original JKD (Just how Bruce taught it). What JKD is NOT...is learning as much varied martial arts and calling it JKD. One has to learn and practice Bruce's way as guideline. To truly understand what is efficient and effective of the human body before researching your own truth. Which then you won't care for cuz you see the BS behind TMA.

I'm just starting out in JKD and love it. Can you tell me though, is that catch wrestling? I've seen a few JKD videos that have similar techniques, and my instructor has already gone over the "figure 4" arm lock which I think is catch. Just curious, because I've always wanted to train catch as well lol. Thanks guys.

Don't think - just do... very nice. Reaction in the medulla oblongata is everything and I can see that these drills prepare for the real street confrontation.

@PSG1BEN Thank you. Also, the video was very nice - In the words of the punk singer Vanilla Ice: slick dead moves, by the dozen; battles - please step up 'cause I luv 'em...
How can anyone say what is & isn't JKD, i thought the whole point was that there is no specific 'way' Theoretically any martial art can be incorperated into jkd as long as the user isn't limited to thinking that one martial art only is the correct way. I don't really see any point in arguing over what is & isn't jkd when anything can be incorporated. everything & anything can be jkd, as long as the person understands that a block or attack is not the only attack to be used in any given situation
