What is NLP and what can it do for you?
Hello, my name is Robbie Steinhouse and I'm head of training at NLP school, this clip is called 'What is NLP? NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic programming, Neuro our brain, is programmed by language linguistics and that programming is somehow automatic is somehow, sometime our behaviours are automatic. Now sometimes when we hear the word programming , they think I don't want to be programmed, the point is that through our neurology and linguistics we are already programmed. Let me give you an example. Long time ago I met someone who said to me, you can never trust a man with big hands and I looked at him and I said excuse me where did you hear that? he said I don't know, I said do you actually believe that? he said no that's silly, where did that come from? And I think so often the things we learn from our childhood certain things we hear, we hear linguistically we hear in language and we store them at some deep level and we use that to navigate our way around the world. What NLP does it gives you an opportunity to explore some of these beliefs some of these things we say to ourselves, I can do this, I can't do that, we should do the other, and when we explore some of these things it can make some very big differences. That for me is what nlp is about. Thank you
