This is a max attempt lift at 225kg. (8 25kg plates, 20 kg bar and 2 2.5 kg locks).

lift setup:
- place bar so it is positioned about half way through the length of the foot.
- bend knees to hit bar
- but comes up enough to start engagement of the hamstrings before lifting so that the lift is not quad dominant
- stand up in as smooth a motion as possible trying not to let the bum rise up first so that it becomes lower back dominant.

Side note:
-this is not evidently not a "romanian deadlift".
- there are 2 techniques to deadlift: with an arched back and with a rounded back. These are technically 2 different lifting techniques and both should technically be trained. A lifter lifting with a rounded back is not necessarily lifting with back technique as long as there is sufficient transverse abdmonial pressure and a valsalva is correctly used to maintain upper torso pressure.

The problem is that a lifter can be lifting with a rounded back and not doing the other things right eg. breathing out with standing up for example
