About 2,000 years ago, Emperor Qin unified warring states to create what is known today as contemporary China. It is believed that his favorite instrument was the guzheng. Its tranquil vibrations evoke a feeling of peace, emulating the sounds of cascading waterfalls and gently rolling thunder. Distributed by TubeMogul.

  • anyway, it is pleasant to hear...this song is supposed to be ...

  • not the instrument, it's the player.

  • so you're saying the guzheng was invented during the Qin dyansty?

it said, "earliest recording" right? meaning it was written down as a record and not by hearing. So...I don't get what you're trying to point out here...

There's a possibility that the instrument's invention year is before it's official record recording year, that is when many people, such as historians are aware of its presence.

  • woops... Jin conquered and unified Shu and Wu, not Wei haha.

  • did u forget the details that "chung khou" was again divided after the collapse of the Qin empire? then after the Han Dynasty, there were the 3 kingdoms period. It is partially true that Qin Shi Huangdi unified the warring states but after that, China continued to follow the pattern of dis-uniting and re-uniting; China was only 1 kingdom under 1 monarch ruler when the Jin conquered and unified Wei and Shu.

  • You're completely wrong obviously, Emperor Qin or Qin Shi Huangdi unified the central plains, which is now day China, in 221 BCE and died in 210 BCE, thats alot more than 2000 years, and the video says earliest recording they have is 91 BCE. So one of you is wrong. My bet is you.
