We were recently travelling in north India (Jul '06)and we ran in to flash floods due to the monsoon rains. What you see in this video is the raging waters and people (in buses, cars, vans, two wheelers, walking pilgrims, pedastrians) facing it head-on and trying to cross it so they can continue their journey. With no police to organize anything, people empower themselves to do what needs to be done in all the chaos. This is somewhere between Haridwar and New Delhi.
See for yourself.
