Entoto - Emperor Menelik and Empress Taitu Memorial Museum - Emperor Menelik II left Ankober and moved the Shoan capital to the Entoto Hills in 1882. He gradually built a palace. The modest Menelik palace still stands. Some reconditioning and renovation works have been done to it and is now in good condition. In 1886, Menelik moved his capital into the valley below Entoto, to the site of what was to become Addis Ababa. (Entoto, june 2006 - Riki, Jovo, Bessy, Abay...)
