  • Running 5-1500w space heaters off a generator is a huge waste when you obviously have natural gas. Just power the fans for natural gas furnaces with the generator and use gas to heat with.

Gas to electricity to space heater is retarded, might as well burn your cash for heat.

  • @tstatech No kidding genius. The purpose of this was not to heat the house, it was to load test the generator. Of course it is more efficient to use the furnace, since most energy used by an internal combustion engine turns into heat, which goes outside in this case, as opposed to 20% with the furnace.

  • It is set to 60Hz which is 3600 RPM for this generator.

  • @Yorkfield45NM That was funny what you said, he obviously did not figure this was a load test, LOL I'v done this to generators at Detroit Edison emergence standby equipment for general maintenance, the only thing is I wish it could be a little quieter.

  • they use galvanized pipe on natural gas lines there ?

  • this type of generator can run 24 hours? 7 days a week?

  • how much rpm is this one?
